The E-team mission

Bachelor, Master and PhD students work together in a team that counts more than forty people and is structured in several divisions. Our team is a multidisciplinary and dynamic environment where students from mechanical, automotive, electronic, electrical, aerospace, and management engineering, economics and liberal arts work together. Formula SAE is a proof of concept and a bridge to labor market. On the one hand, students benefit from joining a Formula SAE team because of its educational aspects. In fact students are required to design, develop, manufacture and drive an open-wheeled prototype, also taking care of economical and marketing aspects. Indeed, the race car design should meet automotive-industry-like requirements both from the safety and cost point of view, since it should be considered as a production-item (for racing application only, basing on a hypothetical production of 1000 units ). Moreover, Formula SAE is a great chance for students to meet each other, encouraging cooperation between Universities of all over the World. On the other hand, graduated and post-doc students find easier access to the labor market. Indeed, the aim of the E-Team Squadra Corse is also to provide a fruitful link between University and Industries. Joining the E-Team gives the possibility to experience teamwork being projected onto the real world of work. Last but not least, we aim at finding innovative solutions that may improve racing performance as well as daily driving experience.
