The E-team history

The E-Team Squadra Corse is the Formula SAE racing team at the Università di Pisa (Italy) and was born in late 2007 from the enthusiasm of several students and professors, including Prof. Emilio Vitale and Prof. Massimo Guiggiani.
Università di Pisa has been competing in Formula SAE since 2008. Usually rookie Formula SAE teams compete only with a project and only the following years build and compete with the car. E-Team, with a limited budget and starting from scratch, was able to race with its first car, ET1, at the Italian Formula SAE Italy event at Fiorano after only 9 months of work. Our team was first among the rookies, sixth over 11 Italian teams, twenty-third over 31 challengers. ET1 was one of the 14 cars that were able to complete the endurance race. Our performance surprised several experts of motorsport such as Andrea Toso from Dallara and Luca Marmorini, former member of the Toyota Formula One. We are confident we will improve.
